Etienne Talks Individual Liberty With A Norwegian Where Conformity is (almost) Law

The Nordics (Denmark, Norway and Sweden) are famous for being the most conformist and obedient populations in the world. There is a social norm in the region known as Jantelov or the Law of Jante, which refers to a disdainful attitude to extraordinary achievements and is often mockingly used to exemplify unflattering aspects of the alleged Nordic trait of placing the value of equality above all else. The Law of Jante manifests politically as something akin to communistic socialism where the majority revel in a 75% tax rate and the “government” is worshipped for bringing forced equality to the society.
I recently joined Norwegian Podcaster and political rebel Miriam Ekelund, author of Antijanteboka, which takes on the stifling conformity and obedience of Jante. We discuss how individual liberty, the free market, and voluntaryism can “deliver the goods” and provide everything the Nordics want out of “Government” without the violence and extortion of the state. We also discuss the scam of the U.S. monetary system, fractional reserve banking, the history of the federal reserve and how the U.S. “government” stole everyone’s gold and silver coins and replaced them with rapidly depreciating base metal tokens. Finally, we discuss cities and states where the populations are throwing out “government” and engineering liberty including Prospera on the Island of Roatan off the coast of Hondouras, Cheran in Mexico that kicked out “government” (and the cartels), Liberland on the Serbia/Croatian border and the Free State Project in the U.S. where a mass migration of libertarians and voluntaryists is electing freedom advocates, rolling back laws, creating social and political networks and moving the ball towards having “government” only protect life, liberty and property… and potentially seceding to create a “laboratory-of-liberty” to prove real freedom can deliver harmony and prosperity for all.

Etienne de la Boetie² – Governments are illegitimate
Researcher, Educator and Professional Speaker Etienne de la Boetie² has written the book «Government – The Biggest Scam in History… Exposed!».
